100K Ecosystems

The monitoring of the terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems of the Colombian Amazon at a scale of 1: 100,000 and the monitoring of the dynamics of change make it possible to detect threats and measure the impact of anthropic activity on these ecosystems. An ecosystem is like a defined geographic space that is identified as the confluence of an association of: climate, geoforms, substrates, communities, living organisms and specific anthropic uses (Rodríguez, et al., 2004). The union of the climate layer with the geomorphology layer and the coverage layer results in the ecosystem layer, which are initially divided into terrestrial ecosystems and aquatic ecosystems, these last depend on the interaction of the landscapes, valleys, small valleys and floodplains from the geomorphology layer.
