Hotspots

Hotspots are defined as a thermal anomaly on the ground (Di Bella, and others, 2008), detected with imaging from the spectroradiometer (MODIS) sensor and radiometer suite (VIIRS) onboard NASA’s Terra, Aqua and Suomi-NPP satellites. These hotspots are approaches to fires or potential fire points (Di Bella, and others, 2008).

In this section, you can access information and reports made using the data taken from NASA "Active Fire Data" (MODS and VIIRS Sensors). The data are published daily by the SINCHI Institute.
